Comments - Interesting kabuki double portrait featuring Ichikawa Danjuro VIII and Ichimura Takenojo V on stage bowing as they greet the audience at the New Year at the Ichimura Theater. During the greeting, there also was an announcement of Nakamura Uzaemon XII taking the name of Ichimura Takenojo V. A handsome design from an untitled kabuki series featuring bamboo in silhouette in the background and various flowers framing the text block at upper right.
