Beauty Entertaining Guests, 1891 - Lovely scene of a beauty entertaining guests in her home. They kneel quietly on the floor around a small brazier, a covered cup of tea before each woman. The woman brings in a tray of refreshments, and utensils for preparing tea can be seen in the adjoining room. A large niche holds two beautiful scroll paintings and a small bonsai pine tree on a low red lacquer stand. A magnolia tree blooms in the garden outside above a stone lantern. A charming scene with fine detail, including a burnished bamboo pattern in the floor screen and handsome wood grain impression in the left panel.
