Commoner with a Sword, 1860 - Handsome kabuki portrait of a commoner looking to the side with slightly worried frown, gripping the top of his sword. He wears a striped kimono that hangs open at the chest, a dotted cloth wrapped about his head against the cool night air. An expressive figure, detailed with soft shading on the background and delicate embossing on the dotted cloth.
