This terrific selection of illustrations includes beauties, kabuki portraits, and scenes from everyday life, depicting traditional tales and novels, as well as the new "floating world," in wonderful detail. The right panel includes Mimasu Gennosuke I, Segawa Kikunojo V, Ichikawa Shinnosuke 2.5, Ichikawa Danjuro VII, Ichikawa Ebizo VI, Seki Sanjuro II. The left panel features Matsumoto Koshiro V, Ichikawa Komazo V, Bando Mitsugoro III, and Iwai Hanshiro V.
