Famous Places in the Eastern Capital: New Clothes at Masaki

Comments - Lovely triptych of three beauties enjoying a stroll at Masaki in Edo. The two women at right carry a basket hung from a dotted cloth stretched between them. They pause to look back over their shoulders, smiling at their companion who follows behind, a white cloth caught between her teeth. A border of clouds separates the figures from a view of a shrine along the shore, with torii gates at right and other buildings set against a backdrop of trees in dark silhouette. An attractive design.

Image Size - 13 3/8" x 28 7/8"
