Moon on the Sumida River, circa 1840 - 1842 - Quiet scene of the Sumida River on a summer night, with pleasure boats lining the shore. A flock of geese descends for the evening, flying past a full moon glowing in the darkening sky. At left, patrons enjoy the evening breeze from the verandah of a teahouse strung with red lanterns while pedestrians cross the bridge at left. An attractive view with bokashi shading in the water and sky.
