Evening Snow at Mokubo Temple

Series; Eight Views of Edo

Evening Snow at Mokubo Temple - Charming portrait of a beauty visiting Mokuboji or Mokubu Temple in winter. She looks back over her shoulder as she walks along, carrying an umbrella and lifting the edges of her blue kimono lined with a lighter blue and white floral print. Snow falls heavily over the scene, blanketing the trees and the bridge behind her. A handsome design, nicely colored.
