Comments - Interesting kabuki scene of two men at left angrily confronting the fellow in the center, who looks back at them with a slight frown, his brows furrowed. He wears a solid yellow kimono tied with a brown print obi, his long hair falling loosely over his shoulders. A nobleman eyes the men carefully from the right, wearing a boldly patterned kimono and a tall black court cap, one hand resting atop his fan. At upper left, the end of a bamboo broom can just be seen behind the figures. Purple draperies featuring the paulownia crest of the Minamoto clan frame the scene above. A colorful design with expressive figures, detailed with fine line work in the hair and a burnished pattern on the black cap.
