Comments - Interesting kabuki scene of a struggle taking place on a boat. At right, a kneeling man grimaces angrily as his companion grabs the back of his robe, trying to free himself with one hand. The fellow at left wears a striped blue kimono tucked up at the waist for easier movement, a blue and white cloth wrapped about his neck. Mountains can be seen along the far shore beneath a softly shaded night sky. Nice expressive figures.
