Spring Horse Play

Comments - Charming springtime scene of a child riding a hobbyhorse. He smiles as he looks over his shoulder, gripping the reigns and galloping along on the wheeled toy. The beauty in the center looks down at him affectionately, wearing a turquoise blue kimono patterned with a variety of colorful flowers. Another woman at right holds his sword upright, wrapped in purple silk. At right, an elegant screen with a black lacquer frame features a scene of cranes and a red sun. In the garden beyond, a plum tree dotted with white blossoms and buds frames the softly shaded blue sky. An attractive subject with embossing on the white kimono trim.

Image Size - 13 3/4" x 27 7/8"
