A Fuji Arts special offer auction

Publisher - Adachi from a rare series of Edo masterwork designs. Adachi publisher seal in margin or on reverse.

Adachi was one of the most respected publishers of the 20th century. Their woodblocks were printed to the highest standards with excellent color and fine detail. Their beautiful kimono and obi feature symbols associated with the New Year, including bamboo, pine needles, and plum blossoms, along with phoenix and peacock motifs. One of the girls kneels down to play with a cat. A lovely Edo era design with soft color and fine detail in the sumptuous fabrics.
