Nagato Province, Shimonoseki - Handsome view of the harbor at Shimonoseki in Nagato Province. A ferry carries two women across the water, past a large cargo ship anchored in the bay. Shimonoseki was an important port city and was the location of the famous, decisive naval battle between the Taira and Minamoto clans. A fine composition with beautiful bokashi shading in the water and sky.
