Forest and River Paper Model Print

Comments - Interesting paper model print depicting a forest and river for the background of a kabuki scene. These entertaining 19th century prints were designed to be cut apart and formed into three-dimensional models. The model builder could cut out the different components of the scene from the prints and create the model. This print features densely packed trees and low hills, with a river framed by a steep embankment with mountains. It's rare to find uncut paper model panels. A fun item.
