Nippori, circa 1835 - 1838 - Beautiful spring view of cherry trees in bloom at Nippori in Edo. Visitors stroll about the grounds, a man slipping on the steep pathway at right, much to the amusement of passersby, who giggle and laugh at him. Below the rounded hills and tall pine trees, two monks sit on the verandah of a temple building at left, as pedestrians walk across the spacious plaza. An attractive design, nicely composed.
