Courtesan in a Floral Kimono

Comments - Attractive kabuki portrait of a courtesan wearing a purple kimono patterned with peony blossoms, chrysanthemums, and maple leaves. She looks over her shoulder with a slight smile as a man thrusts at large red lacquer sake cup at her, a roll of tissues in her hand. Her hair is pulled back into two large loops, adorned with combs and hairpins decorated with maple leaves. Purple and white drapery featuring a circular bamboo crest hangs overhead. Nicely detailed with embossing on the white kimono collar and trim.

Image Size - 14" x 9 3/8" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with good color and detail as shown. Small repair, a few creases at edges, stain in margin. Please see photos for details.
