Original Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864) Japanese Woodblock Print
Ichikawa Kuzo II as Jubei, 1847

Comments - Interesting kabuki portrait of Ichikawa Kuzo II as Jubei, standing in a doorway with an alarmed expression on his face. He holds a pipe and tobacco set in one hand, several letters tucked into the wooden box. His outer kimono features a bold plaid, worn over a gray robe decorated with delicate flowers and scrolls. At stairway can be seen at lower left. A nice expressive figure.

Image Size - 14 1/8" x 9 7/8" + top margin as shown
