Courtesans in the Yoshiwara

Comments - Attractive scene of two courtesans strolling through the Yoshiwara, one accompanied by her young kamuro or child apprentice. The beauty at left wears a striking kimono with a dragon and red flames above crashing waves. The woman at right has a tiger on her outer robe. At right a man in a Western hat and double-breasted coat walks alongside a beauty in traditional dress. Blossoming cherry trees fill the garden in the center of the boulevard. A colorful design.
