Wanting to Have a Cup of Sake; Dyer-beetles from Yamashiro Province - Charming portrait of a beauty leaning forward with an eager smile as she pulls up the edge of her black kimono patterned with cherry blossoms and tie-died streams. Her hair is simply arranged in a large loop adorned with a single hairpin. The desire paired with this subject is wanting to have a cup of sake. The inset above shows a man climbing a tree to obtain dyer-beetles in Yamashiro Province. An attractive design, nicely detailed with embossing on the white kimono collars.
