Original Yoshitora (active circa 1840 - 1880) Japanese Woodblock Print
Courtesans Viewing Cherry Blossoms

Comments - Terrific triptych of Yoshiwara courtesans enjoying a view of cherry blossoms from their verandah. Dressed in elegant kimono, the beauties relax with their small attendants on a richly patterned floral carpet. The courtyard below is crowded with visitors and beauties who stroll along the boulevard under the pink flowering trees. A lively, bustling scene with attractive color and a wealth of detail.

Image Size - 13 3/4" x 27 1/2"
