Famous Places in Edo: Asukayama, circa 1844 - Handsome view of Asukayama in springtime, a popular location to view the blossoming cherry trees. At right, a young woman kneeling on a mat beneath a pine tree plays a hand game called ken. Other visitors stroll about the park-like setting under the trees covered with blossoms, and Mt. Fuji rises in the distance at center right. A nice image of a favorite spring pastime in Japan.

Condition - This print with good detail as shown. Two attached panels, backed with paper. Vertical fold between panels. Losses at edges, holes. Creasing, slight rubbing. Please see photos for details.
