Bustling Street Scene

Comments - Lively scene of a street bustling with activity during the Meiji era. At lower left, a team of horses pulls a carriage with a foreigner riding in it, a footman perches on the back of the buggy. Many rickshaws share the road with pedestrians and laborers. Shops displaying all kinds of goods line the street, with a temple and a pagoda rising above the treetops in the distance. At upper right, lumber can be seen above the rooftops. An interesting design filled with wonderful detail.
