Comments - Attractive portrait of a courtesan wearing a kimono patterned with large blue blossoms and leaves over a red under robe. Her long hair is pulled into a low ponytail over her back tied with a red ribbon. Kaigetsudo Ando was known for his portraits of beautiful courtesans from the Yoshiwara pleasure district in Edo, with an emphasis on their elaborate kimono.
