Comments - Dramatic scene from the play "Mure Kiyotaki Hiiki no Seiriki" of Jinriki Tamigoro raising a sword above his head to attack Oshio, the young daughter of Jinbei. The girl looks up with a strange expression, a knife in her hand held against her shoulder. In the center, Mitsushima Samon throws his hands out in a stopping motion, an angry frown on his face. At left, Shirataki Yoichi draws his own weapon, looking up with a grimace. At upper right, colorful curtains shaded from purple to green with a delicate blossom and leaf design hang in a doorway. From left, the actors are Otani Tomoemon V, Sawamura Tossho II, Nakamura Shikan IV, and Bando Mitsugoro VI. Nice large expressive figures.
