Comments - Dramatic kabuki scene of a beauty threatening a magician with a sword that appears to have been concealed inside a wooden oar. He glares back at her as he twists his hands to cast a spell, his short hair sticking up wildly atop his head with longer locks pulled back into a thick ponytail. At right, a commoner looks up with an angry scowl as he clutches at wooden board. Tree trunks flank the figures with undulating waves in the background beneath the night sky, creating an ominous-looking setting. A great design with large colorful figures, detailed with metallic pigment that has oxidized to a dark tone on the commoner's green kimono.
