Original Chikanobu (1838 - 1912) Japanese Woodblock Print
Wedding Ceremony, 1896

Comments - Charming scene of ladies-in-waiting attending a wedding ceremony at the Chiyoda Palace. Each wears a white kimono patterned with colorful motifs over red orange under robes with a matching print. The beauty at right has a long ponytail tied with several white ribbons trailing over her back and onto the floor around her. Nicely detailed with faint embossing on the white areas of the kimono. A nicely detailed design.

Artist - Chikanobu (1838 - 1912)

Image Size - 13 7/8" x 9 1/4"

Condition - This print with good color and detail as shown. Please see photos for details.
