Bloody Samurai Original Painting - Striking original painting on silk of a bloody samurai with one leg wrapped around his spear as he prepares to toss roasted soybeans up in the air, a custom known as setsubun that took place in the New Year to chase away evil spirits and welcome in good luck and prosperity for the coming year. He grimaces angrily, bleeding from wounds to his arm, his waist and his legs, bloody handprint on the tray tucked under his arm. Snow blankets the rooftop at upper right, with a spattering of white and gray pigment across the top of the sky to simulate falling snow. A fantastic, exceptionally large design, beautifully painted with fine detail and vibrant color.
