Original Eisen (1790 - 1848) Japanese Woodblock Print
Beauty in the Breeze Kakemono

Comments - Charming kakemono or vertical diptych of a beauty strolling in the breeze, attempting to hold robes closed with both hands as they flutter about her. She wears an intricately patterned kimono over a red under robe, tied with a green obi decorated with paulownia leaves and blossoms. Her hair is simply arranged in a smooth bun adorned with a comb and a few hairpins. A handsome composition, nicely suited to the vertical format.

Artist - Eisen (1790 - 1848)

Image Size - 28 3/4" x 9 5/8"

Condition - This print with good detail as shown. Two attached panels, backed with paper. Horizontal folds, a few stains. Please see photos for details.
