Peony: Hanaogi of the Ogiya at Edo-machi Itchome - Lovely okubi-e or large head portrait of the beauty Hanaogi of the Ogiya contemplating writing a letter, the paper rolled up in her hand as she chews the end of her brush. A beautiful okubi-e or large head format image, with a soft color palette and fine detail. Nicely detailed with embossing in the white patterns on pink and rose kimono. Rarely seen in reprint.
