Series; Abridged Biography of Koso

Nichiren Keeping a Rock Suspended - Great dramatic scene of Nichiren at Komuroyama keeping a large rock that had been thrown at him suspended in mid-air. The priest exudes an air of calm and focused energy. The nobleman holds his hands up in prayer, clasping a set of prayer beads, while his retainer gasps in amazement, crouching behind him with an enormous hatchet over his shoulder. A great image from this famous Kuniyoshi series with beautiful shading.
