Lotus Pond at Shinobazu in Ueno - Beautiful view of Shinobazu Pond in Ueno, the water covered with lotus blossoms and lily pads. A few workers in boats are busy gathering the plants, a young boy poling the craft in the foreground. A narrow walkway with an arched bridge in the middle leads to an island with a shrine and teahouses overlooking the pond. A few cranes take flight at right as yellow shaded clouds drift across the scene. A lovely design, not often seen in reprint.
