The Second Month (Kisaragi), 1896 - Beautiful winter view of the ferry near Matsuchi Hill in Tokyo. A bottom right, passengers huddle under umbrellas as the boatman moves the craft through the calm water. The rooftops and trees along the opposite shore are blanketed in snow, as are the reeds and grasses along the water's edge. A lovely scene with a striking composition and soft shading.
