Beauty in the Falling Snow Kakemono

Comments - Lovely kakemono or vertical diptych of a beauty in winter, using both hands to open her umbrella as heavy snowflakes fall around her. She wears a tan kimono shaded to light blue with a border of delicate plants tied with a black obi decorated with bats that reverses to a striped pattern. Her hair is pulled back into a smooth rub tied with a ribbon, adorned with a hairpin featuring a bat flying in front of a crescent moon. A beautiful design with the curving lines of the figure leading the eye down the page.

Artist - Eisen (1790 - 1848)

Image Size - 27 7/8" x 9 1/2" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Two attached panels, backed with paper. A few wormholes, repaired. Slight toning and soiling, a few creases, slight rubbing at edges, slight curling. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
