Series; The New Biography of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, 1883

Hideyoshi and Shibata Katsuie, 1883 - Dramatic scene of a warrior who has just knocked a samurai off his horse at an encampment on Mt. Komaki. He lifts the fellow above his head with both hands, ready throw him to the ground, a determined expression on his face as he turns his head to the side. The man flails in the air, still gripping a sword, as his horse rears behind him. At right, fellow samurai watching are aghast, reacting with shock at the confrontation. A cloth banner provides privacy for the camp, and banners and stands flutter overhead. A lively image with wonderful color and detail, including burnishing in the armor.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Two separate panels. A few small holes, repaired. Slight soiling and creasing, a few marks. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
