Comments - Handsome city scene of the famous Imperial Hotel in Tokyo, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Completed in 1923, the imposing structure was torn down in 1968, with only the central lobby wing and reflecting pool later reconstructed at the Meiji Mura Museum.The impressive stone hotel rises above a pond with a fountain in the center as two pedestrians walk along the street under a falling rain. Wonderful architectural detail in this urban landscape. A rare woodblock image of this landmark building.
