Series; Seitei's Album of Birds and Flowers, 1890 - 1891

Seitei's Album of Birds and Flowers - Watanabe Seitei was a traditional Nihonga or Japanese-style painter known for his lovely kacho-e, images of birds and flowers. His "Album of Birds and Flowers" was published in three volumes from 1890 t 1891. These nature prints feature beautiful calligraphic line work and a marvelous sense of asymmetrical balance, enhanced by soft shading and muted colors. His elegant, spare designs are a great choice for a collector interested in kacho-e.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Two separate panels. A few stitching holes at sides. Small thinning spot in margin, repaired. Slight toning, crease, a few small spots. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
