Original Kiyochika (1847 - 1915) Japanese Woodblock Print
Snow at Toshogu Shrine, Ueno

Comments - Lovely winter scene of a young woman hurrying along the pathway leading to Toshogu Shrine, a small dog running along at her side. The path passes beneath a large torii gate, bordered by rows of snow-covered stone lanterns and towering pine trees. The red temple in the distance adds a note of color to the chilly winter landscape. A charming image.

Artist - Kiyochika (1847 - 1915)

Image Size - 8" x 12 1/2" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Slight paper remnants on reverse at top edge from previous mounting. Two vertical folds. Slight toning and soiling, a few creases. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
