Singing and Dancing in the Modern Style, 1878

Comments - Handsome triptych depicting a pair of shirabyoshi dancers performing before the ladies of the Imperial Court. The women move gracefully across a stage in the foreground, with musicians at left and two dancers in butterfly costumes waiting at the side. Wonderful detail in the elegant interior setting and sumptuous clothing. Includes burnishing in the black robes and lacquer trim.

Image Size - 13 1/2" x 27 76/8" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Three attached panels, backed with paper. Two vertical folds. Small hole, repaired. Slight soiling, slight rubbing along one fold. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
