Music under the Moonlight - Lovely Chikanobu triptych depicting three beauties playing the flute, shamisen, and koto on a summer evening. The verandah opens onto a view of a beautiful garden with a lake, surrounded by trees silhouetted against the evening sky. A full moon glows yellow overhead, shining softly on the water below. Fine detail in the faces and hairstyles and the elegant kimono fabrics. A very attractive subject, nicely colored.
