Original Kuniyasu (1794 - 1832) Japanese Woodblock Print
Bando Mitsugoro III

Comments - Handsome kabuki portrait of Bando Mitsugoro as a commoner crouching beneath a tree, some kind of ax or tool in his hand resting atop a tray in front of him. He sneers angrily as he looks to the side, a white cloth wrapped around his forehead. He wears a black and gray diamond print tunic over a rust and white plaid kimono trimmed with green and tied with a light blue sash. A nice expressive figure by Kuniyasu, whose prints are not often seen.

Artist - Kuniyasu (1794 - 1832)

Image Size - 14 3/4" x 10" + top margin as shown

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. A few wormholes, repaired. Slight soiling, creasing and slight rubbing at edges. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
