Series; Toyokuni's Manga on Three Wine Cups, 1861

Three Kabuki Actors - Handsome design featuring portraits of threes actors depicting on circular red sake cups. From the top, the actors are Ichikawa Danjuro VII as Takechi Mitsuhide, Ichikawa Danjuro VIII as Fuwa Banzaemon, and Ichikawa Gonjuro I as Nagoya Sanza. At bottom left, the disgraces samurai Nagoya Sanza stares up a the man responsible for his downfall, the evil Fuwa Banzaemon, who wears a striking black kimono patterned with colorful thunderclouds and red lightning bolts. Nice expressive figures in an interesting forma, the background dotted with confetti-like shapes. Includes touches of embossing.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Backed with paper. A few wormholes, repaired. Slight soiling, a few small stains. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
