Beauty on a Verandah

Comments - Charming portrait of a beauty on a verandah on a summer evening. She wears a gray and white dotted outer robe, wrapped loosely about her, over a blue and white tie-dyed kimono, a roll of tissues in her hand. She smiles happily as she looks down, her hair pulled back into a sleek bun adorned with hairpins and a comb. The verandah overlooks a view of the water, with ships anchored near the shore for the evening, a red paper lantern hanging overhead. A classic beauty subject, attractively colored and detailed.

Artist - Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864)

Image Size - 14 3/4" x 9 1/2"

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Paper remnants on reverse at left edge from previous mounting. A couple small tears at edge, slight creasing, a few tiny spots. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
