Onoe Kikugoro III as Yoemon, 1838

Comments - Interesting kabuki portrait of Onoe Kikugoro III as Yoemon, standing outside a door with a worried frown as a supernatural foxfire dances in the sky at upper right. His arms folded firmly across his chest, he watches the flames intently, unsure of what to do. A nice expressive figure.

Artist - Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864)

Image Size - 14" x 9 3/4" + left margin as shown

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Small wormholes and holes, repaired. Slight toning, soiling, and creasing. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
