Original Meiji era Japanese Woodblock Print
Japanese Attack during the Sino-Japanese War

Comments - Dramatic scene from the Sino-Japanese War of Japanese troops attacking the Chinese outside a fortress. At left, a general on horseback directs the men, while at right, an officer thrusts his sword to the side as he rallies his troop forward. Soldiers fire a volley of shots, clouds of smoke obscuring the fighting, with just a few enemies visible. Nicely detailed and colored.

Artist - Meiji era artist (unsigned)

Image Size - 13 3/4" x 18 1/4"

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Two separate panels, backed with paper. Horizontal centerfold. Slight soiling and curling, a few stains. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
