Comments - Interesting kabuki scene of a beauty holding a leering horned hannya mask in her outstretched hand, which represents the spirit of a woman consumed by jealousy. She strikes a pose with a fan in her other hand, dressed in a red and green checked kimono patterned with hollyhock leaves. The beauty at right holds a realistic-looking mask of a man's face. A striped cloth panel provides privacy for the group at right, with maple leaves framing the red sky. An intriguing subject with vibrant color.
