Foreign Words, 1860 - Interesting depiction of foreigners in Yokohama, with an inset list above of foreign words written in Japanese. An American man rides a horse, dressed in a long black coat with a yellow collar and white pants, and a brown top hat. A Chinese man stands beside him with an umbrella in hand, watching with a worried expression. He wears a green, button-front coat over white pants, his long ponytail trailing over his back. A great example of Yokohama-e.
