Comments - Interesting kabuki double portrait of a young samurai reading a letter as he rests on one knee. The long message trails onto the ground next to the samurai as he stretches it wide between his hands. He pauses to look up with a sneer at the fellow behind him, who holds a lantern in one hand and a plaid robe in the other. Nice expressive figures set against a softly shaded night sky.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Paper remnants on reverse at top corners from previous mounting. Two small holes, repaired. Slight toning and soiling, a few creases. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
