Moonrise behind Monkey Bridge Kakemono

Comments - Wonderful Hiroshige kakemono or vertical diptych of the moon rising behind the famous Monkey Bridge high above the Kakegawa River. A few travelers make their way across the arched structure high above the rushing water, with the rooftops of a village nestled along the shore in the distance. A lovely design with beautiful shading. The large format would make a very attractive framed display.

Artist - Hiroshige (1797 - 1858)

Image Size - 28 3/8" x 9 1/2" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Two attached panels. Slight separation at end of fold, a few small holes, repaired. Slight toning. Please note: folded in thirds by publisher for storage, will be shipped folded. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
