Aoi, Chapter 9 - Terrific image of awabi divers off the coast. In the center, a woman kicks her foot as she dives beneath the undulating waves, her knife clenched between her teeth. At the base of the rocky outcropping at right, another beauty uses her knife to free an abalone shell. At left, a beauty sitting in a boat pulls back her long wet hair while a companion hangs onto the edge of the vessel. A fantastic design with beautiful bokashi shading. This image appears on page of 65 of Amy Reigle Newland's recent book, "Time Present and Time Past: Images of a Forgotten Master, Toyoharu Kunichika."
