Street Knights in a Pleasure Boat

Comments - Handsome kabuki scene of two otokodate or street knights enjoying a ride in a pleasure boat. The man at left wears a cotton kimono patterned with sparrows and bamboo, grinning and gesturing with his hand. His companion leans over the side of the boat, wringing water from a cloth. Each has a shakuhachi flute tucked at his back. A nicely detailed setting from an interesting perspective.

Artist - Kunichika (1835 - 1900)

Image Size - 13 5/8" x 9 5/8" + left margin as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. A few small wormholes, repaired. Slight soiling and rubbing, a few creases. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
