Shinobazu Pond, 1847 - 1852 - Attractive spring view looking out over Shinobazu Pond in Ueno. At lower right, people relax at a tea stand beneath a large tree. A few blossoming cherry trees frame the water, which is dotted with lily pads. At left, a narrow causeway leads out to the island that houses a shrine to the Goddess Benten. A charming design.
